Super Moist Pear Cake

Ingredients


Cake:

  • 35g

    Buttercup Luxury Spread, melted (with some extra for greasing)

  • 50g

    caster sugar

  • 1

    egg

  • ¼ tsp

    salt

  • 80g

    flour

  • 1 tsp

    baking powder

  • 50ml

    milk

  • 1

    pear, cubed

Topping:

  • 40g

    Buttercup Luxury Spread, melted

  • 1

    pear, sliced

  • 1

    egg

  • 20g

    caster sugar

Directions


  1. Whisk sugar, egg and salt until combined.
  2. Sift in flour and baking powder.
  3. Add Buttercup Luxury Spread and milk. Mix well.
  4. Add pear and mix well.
  5. Pour batter into cake tin.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 180dc.
  7. Whisk egg, sugar and Buttercup Luxury Spread until combined. Set aside.
  8. Remove cake from oven, layer with sliced pear, and pour the mixture on top.
  9. Bake for an additional 20 minutes or until golden.
  10. Cool before removing from tin. Dust with sugar, slice, and enjoy.
