Aloo Fry

Ingredients


  • 1½ tbsp

    Buttercup Luxury Spread

  • 4

    medium potatoes, peeled and cubed

  • 1

    medium onion, finely chopped

  • 2

    green chillies, chopped

  • 2 – 3 tbsp

    coriander leaves, chopped

  • ½ tsp

    cumin seeds

  • ¼ tsp

    turmeric powder

  • ½ tsp

    red chilli powder

  • ½ tsp

    salt

Directions


Preparation:

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes.
  2. Fine chop onions and chop green chillies and coriander leaves.

Method:

  1. Heat Buttercup Luxury Spread in a frying pan and add cumin seeds. Once it splutters, give it a stir and add the cubed potatoes. Mix well and fry for 2 mins on medium heat.
  2. Add the salt and turmeric powder and mix well. Fry on low heat for around 5 mins stirring it few times.
  3. Add the red Chilli powder and mix well. Continue to fry for 2 minutes on low heat.
  4. Add the chopped onions and green chillies, give it a mix and cover & cook for around 5-6 mins on low till the potatoes and onions are soft.
  5. Remove cover & garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  6. Mix well and serve hot.
