Butter Chicken Masala Tacos

East meets West in the most delicious way! These Butter Chicken Masala Tacos wrap rich masala in soft taco shells for a fun, hands-on dish everyone will love. Great for sharing at gatherings or mixing up the menu during festive celebrations.

Ingredients


For marinate:

  • 350g

    chicken fillet, cubed

  • 2 tsp

    turmeric

  • 1 tsp

    cardamom powder

  • 1 tsp

    chilli powder

  • 5

    cloves garlic, chopped

  • 1 inch

    ginger, chopped

For tacos:

  • 6

    taco shells

  • 60g

    Buttercup Luxury Spread, divided

  • 1 tsp

    turmeric

  • 1 tsp

    cardamom powder

  • 1 tsp

    chilli powder

  • 3 tbsp

    masala spice mix

  • 3

    cloves garlic, sliced

  • 1

    onion, cubed

  • 1 inch

    ginger, sliced

  • 1

    can tomato sauce

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

  • Yoghurt (optional)

  • Salt to taste

Directions


  1. Cut the chicken fillets into even-sized cubes.
  2. Marinate with turmeric cardamom, chilli powder, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Mix well and set aside for 1 hour.
  4. Heat half of Buttercup Luxury Spread.
  5. Sauté ginger, onion and garlic until fragrant.
  6. Stir in turmeric, cardamom, chilli powder, masala spice mix.
  7. Stir in remaining Buttercup Luxury Spread for extra creaminess.
  8. Add salt to taste.
  9. Add marinated chicken and cook until nearly done.
  10. Mix in tomato sauce and simmer.
  11. Turn off heat and stir in fresh parsley.
  12. Bake taco shells as per package instructions.
  13. Assemble tacos with Butter Chicken Masala.
  14. Top with yoghurt and fresh parsley.
